Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir

Þorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir ( born October 4, 1965 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic politician. She was from 1999 to 2013 a member of the Icelandic parliament Althingi from 2004 to 2009 and was Minister of Education, Science and Culture. She was also vice - chairman of her party ( Independence Party ).

In 1993 it concluded her studies in law at the University of Iceland and then worked in a law firm in Höfðabakki. From 1993 to 1999 she was the Icelandic Broadcasting operates as Director of the Department of Social and updates.
