Oriental Brewery

Oriental Brewery or OB is a South Korean brewery.

History

1952 establishes the Doosan Group, the Oriental Brewery. 1998 OB is taken over by InBev to be sold for 2009 by the parent company Anheuser -Busch InBev as part of a debt reduction program to a subsidiary of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts again. An agreed five-year buy-back option was redeemed early 2014.

Currently, the Oriental Brewery produces some of Korea's most popular beers, including the brands OB, Cass and Cafri stock. All OB beers are brewed from rice instead of the usual barley malt in the West.
