Orion (manga)

Orion (Japanese仙术 超 攻 壳ORION, ORION Senjutsu Chiyo Kōkaku ) is a manga by the Japanese illustrator Masamune Shirow. Unlike his other known works, he does not play in the future, but can be associated with the science fiction genre and action.

Action

In another world, the space-time navigator Seska bursts during a visit with her father Fuzen, a temple priest, in the middle of a summoning ceremony inside. Since incantations are controlled by the monarchical built Political Science, she gets into the spell of this Summoner who want to prevent a government Summoning experiment.

Seska directed then in a fit of megalomania much mischief, wants the Fuzen using the God of Destruction, Susano away.

Publications

Orion was released in Japan on December 24, 1991 as a single band at Seishinsha.

For the German version of the Feest Comics manga was mirrored on "Western" reading direction, enlarged and divided into three albums, which appeared from 1997 to 1998. In the U.S., he appeared from 1992 to 1993 in six issues of Dark Horse Comics, and in France from 1994 to 1995 in two volumes in Glénat.
