Orléanais

The Orléanais is a landscape and historical province of France which takes its name after the provincial capital of Orléans. Before the French Revolution, it was under the rule of the noble family of Orléans. After the Revolution, the province was dissolved and divided into the departments of Loiret, Loir -et -Cher, and partly also Eure- et- Loir and Yonne.

The historic landscapes Orléanais, Berry, Blaisois, Beauce and Touraine, today are part of the Centre region.
