Ornithogalum arabic, also called Arab Star of Bethlehem, a plant belonging to the family of asparagus plants is ( Asparagaceae ).

Description

Ornithogalum arabic is a perennial, herbaceous plant onion, achieved the stature heights of 30 to 80 centimeters. The plant is vigorous. The onion developed numerous offshoots. The leaves at the base have a width of 10 to 30 millimeters shine, and do not show any white middle stripe on. The grape is dense, trugdoldig and 6 to 25 - flowered. The lower flower stalks are 80 to 100 millimeters long. The petals are 15 to 32 millimeters in size, triangular in shape and have no green markings. The ovary is blue -violet. The capsules are winged something.

The flowering period extends from April to May

Occurrence

Ornithogalum arabic occurs in the Mediterranean.
