Projects

Olaroz

The Salar Olaroz is a salt lake in the province of Jujuy in northwest Argentina, close to the border with Chile. Should be accessible above all deposits of lithium and potash (potash ). Drilling and pumping tests over wide areas of the mining area have been completed. Currently (as of 4 March 2009) prepared a definition of the resource on the scale of the "Joint Ore Reserves Committee" ( JORC ). According to the company the previous measurements have shown an average lithium content of 700 ppm and a magnesium -to -lithium ratio of 2.8:1. The Kalisalzgehalt is given as 1.3%.

Santo Domingo

The Santo Domingo project is located in the province of San Juan westargentinischen, there are copper, gold and silver are encouraged. In addition to the O.A. Projects Orocobre holds a number of other mineral rights, however, the company is focused in the medium term by its own account on the Lithium-/Pottascheprojekt Olaroz.

In February 2009 Orocobre Ltd founded. together with Argentine partners to the joint venture "South American Salar ". The aim is to further exploit the South American salt lakes.
