ORP Orzel is a submarine of the Polish Navy.

The boat belongs to the Russian Kilo class ( Project 877E ). As the boat is the only Polish submarine of its design, the ship class of the boat is referred to as Orzel class.

The boat was designed by the planning office CKB MT Rubin and built under the project name Varsovia of the shipyard Sudomech in Leningrad (now New Admiralty Shipyard ).

The Orzel was put into service on 29 April 1986 and was given the name of the submarine ORP Orzel, who served in the Polish Navy during World War II.

The boat is in use to this day. The current commander is kmdr ppor. Andrzej Ogrodnik.
