Osman Chávez

Osman Chávez ( born July 29, 1984 in Santa Fe, Honduras ) is a Honduran football player.

Career

Chavez, whose nickname is El Tierno, his professional career started in the Honduran league at CD Platense where the central defender quickly became a regular player. From 2007 to 2008 he was loaned to the Honduran club CD Motagua, before he returned to his hometown club.

Because of his achievements, he was elected to the Honduran National Team, where he made ​​his international debut on February 12, 2006 game against the People's Republic of China. With the national Chávez managed to qualify for the Football World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

To continue his career abroad, Chávez broke his contract with Platense on. After he could not find a new club and for several months was without match practice, he was again obliged by his former club and then called in the World Cup squad of the national team. At the World Cup Honduras failed in the preliminary round, with Osman Chavez was used in all three games.

In summer 2010, he moved on loan for a year to the Polish top club Wisła Kraków and was among the top performers. After a year Wisła Kraków committed arrested him and paid the equivalent of about 210,000 euro transfer fee. In the second half of 2011/12, however, Chavez was largely out due to a knee surgery.
