Osówko, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Osówko ( German name Wutzow, Belgard ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the municipality Tychowo ( Tychowo ) in a circle Białogard ( Belgard ).

Geographical Location

Osówko located 15 kilometers southeast of Białogard near the province road 163 Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg ) Białogard Połczyn - Zdrój (Bad Polzin ) Czaplinek ( Tempelburg ) Wałcz ( German crown). After Tychowo is 13 kilometers.

The nearest train station is Podborsko ( Kiefheide ) on the railway line Szczecinek - Kolobrzeg.

The place is nestled in a hilly landscape, through which the Parsęta ( Persante ) finds its way and has made known before 1945 because of her beauty, the " Wutzower Persante Valley ".

History

After colonization in the 12th century Wutzow was first a fief of the von Kleist. In 1784 it consisted of the manor, eight gutsabhängigen farmers and a Kossäten. At that time, were still part of the Vorwerk Diekmann with sheep and Feldgut Zuchen, later Henry Grove, for Gutsbezirk.

In 1801 the family von Kleist Wutzow sold to Charles of Ingersleben. Then it changed hands many times its owners.

Mid-19th century, there are already 24 in Wutzow predominantly independent farms. It lived 249 people in 23 houses. This number doubled by 1939 to 564 residents in 141 households. Wutzow had developed into a handsome peasant village with an area size of 2208 hectares.

The rural community Wutzow created in 1928 from the previous community and the agricultural estates Wutzow, Bergen (now Polish: Góra ) and Woldisch Tychow ( Tychówko ). Last municipality mayor before 1945 was Walter Priebe.

Wutzow belonged to the Official Vietzow ( Wicewo ) in the district Belgard ( Persante ) with Erich Siefert as Chief Administrator. District court district was Belgard and the police had their posts on site.

Beginning in March 1945 Wutzow was taken without a struggle by the Russian troops. The men of the village were deported, all the other people had to do forced labor. Wutzow was in Polish hands, and the indigenous population was expelled. Today Osówko is part of Gmina Tychowo in powiat Białogardzki.

Wutzow was until 1945 the seat of its own civil registry office. His district included the communities Ball Mountain (now Polish: Biała Góra ), Bolkow ( Bolkowo ) and Vietzow ( Wicewo ). Last German registrar was Alfred Kuhn.

Church

Wutzow had no church of their own. Kirchdorf was Woldisch Tychow (now Polish: Tychówko ), was the parish in whose parish the place. It was in the church Belgard county in Pomerania church of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union.

Today Osówko belongs to the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.
