Östlicher Saalkreis

In the administration of Community Eastern Saalkreis from the Saxony-Anhalt Saalekreis eight communities had originally joined forces to do their administrative business. Last lived there 16,343 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2006) to 125.36 km ². The last head of the administrative community was Olaf Heinrich.

Although the name of the county changed with the district reform of Saalkreis on Saalekreis, they retained the name Eastern Saalkreis and not changed it in Eastern Saalekreis, as the situation name was referring to the old county area.

History

The original belongs to the administrative community community Brachstedt changed on 30 March 2006 to manage Community Götschetal - Petersberg, whereby the municipality number was reduced to six.

On 1 January 2010, the municipalities Niemberg, Oppin and Schwerz were incorporated into the community Braschwitz and on 1 September 2010, the municipalities Peißen and Hohenthurm in the town of Landsberg on April 20, 2010. Thus would only Landsberg member of the administrative community, but this was disbanded on 1 September 2010.
