Otaki River
Otaki River at Otaki
The Otaki River is a river on the south-western North Island of New Zealand.
It rises in the mountains of the Tararua Ranges, and flows in a valley of this mountain 45 km to the southwest. He passed the Mount Crawford on its eastern side. He then describes a large curve and then flows northwest. Near Otaki Forks lead several tributaries, including the Waiotauru River, into the river.
Having the State Highway 1 passes under and passes through the center of Otaki in the south, it flows to the Kapiti Coast called coast in the Tasman Sea. Between Otaki and Otaki Forks is a gorge in the Otaki Gorge Road hinauführt to Otaki Forks.
