Otiria is a small settlement in the Far North District of Northland Region in the North Island of New Zealand. Otiria goes to the northeast into Moerewa, the nearest major town, Kawakawa is a few miles east. Nearby settlements are Pokapu in the south, the west and Orauta Hupara in the north. The Waiharakeke stream runs south-east of the village.

In Otiria is a Marae Māori iwi Ngati Te Ara the, Ngati Ngati Hine and Kopaki.

Education

The primary school in Otiria was closed in 2005, since then the students use the school in the neighboring Moerewa.

Transportation

Otiria is on State Highway 1 in Moerewa to the New Zealand road network.

The southwest of the village railway station of Otiria is currently the northernmost point of New Zealand in-service railway network. It is the terminus of the North Auckland Line, only a disused branch line leads to Moerewa. Otiria was until the mid-1980s a railway junction. The Opua Branch of the North Auckland Line ran north-east to Kawakawa and Opua, the Okaihau Branch northwest to Kaikohe and Okaihau. The train route through Otiria was originally the beginning of the 20th century were built to connect Opua and Kawakawa with Whangarei. It opened on 13 April 1911. Shortly after the work on the Okaihau Branch of Otiria were taken from, which was completed in May 1914 to Kaikohe un dim October 1923 to Okaihau.

In December 1925 started on Otiria direct people connections to Auckland. This was originally the between Auckland and Opua circulating Northland Express, whose specific for Okaihai coaches were uncoupled in Otiria.
