Otogi Manga Calendar

Otogi Manga Calendar (Japaneseおとぎ マンガ カレンダー, Otogi Manga Karenda ) is an anime series of Otogi Productions. It was the first anime series that was shown on television in Japan, but the consequences were only a few minutes. The first series of 25 -minute episodes was Astro Boy in 1963.

Content

The anime shows in the short follow historical events that have occurred on each date. In this case, the event is explained by a character who also did not know this before and just knowing. The consequences not only consist of animated scenes, but also historical photographs or film footage will be shown.

Production and publication

The series was produced by Otogi Productions under the direction and from a screenplay by Yokoyama Ryuichi, Shin'ichi Suzuki and Michihiro Matsuya. The artistic director was Hiroshi Saitō held. The historical recordings often come from the archives of the newspaper Mainichi Shimbun. The TBS was involved in the production and beamed the series also.

To broadcast to find conflicting information. The first season ran on 1 May 1961 under the title of Instant History (インスタント ヒストリー, Insutanto Hisutorī ) and ran until 24 February 1962 the station Fuji TV ( CX ). The second season, in which a name change to Otogi Manga Calendar was, launched on June 25 in 1962 and ran until July 4, 1964 or June 25, 1964 on TBS. A replay of the consequences was transferred from 1 July 1964 to 30 June 1966 MBS.

Depending on the source 312 or 54 episodes were produced for each three, five or 25 minutes. Older program plans set this suggests that the first episodes of Instant History a length of three minutes and five minutes later, as the had of Otogi Manga Calendar. It is also suspected that there might have been at the scales at exactly the same.

The series served as a model for more than the " instant history like Anime " (インスタント ヒストリー 系 アニメ, Insutanto Hisutorī -kei anime) are called and ran until December 30, 1984 on MBS. These include:
