The Turkish motorway otoyol 53 ( Turkish Toprakkale - İskenderun Otoyolu, short O -53) connects the otoyol 52 İskenderun. The highway is expanded to three lanes on both sides. At the junction Şekerek leads a feeder road with two lanes in each direction.

An extension to Antakya is in the planning stage, the road should also be connected to the Syrian motorway network in the direction of Aleppo.
