Ottawa Fury FC

The Ottawa Fury FC is a Canadian football franchise from Ottawa, Ontario. The team was founded in 2011 and will start the game mode from the 2014 season in the North American Soccer League.

History

On 20 June 2011, the NASL announced the expansion will enter a team from Ottawa to the 2014 season in the league. The Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group ( OSEG ) is in this case act as the owner of the franchise. After entry into the NASL, USL PDL franchise, the previous Ottwara Fury is dissolved.

To select the name of a name the team contest was held. On February 26, 2013, it was announced that the name Ottawa Fury FC has the most votes and the team will therefore bear this name.

Stadium

The Fury will deliver their games at Frank Clair Stadium at Lansdowne Park. It has a capacity of 24,000 spectators and is being renovated from 2013 to early 2014. Also, the CFL team RedBlacks Ottawa will host its games there.
