San Antonio Scorpions
The San Antonio Scorpions FC is an American football franchise from San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas. Was founded the team in 2010.
In the 2012 season, this took place in the North American Soccer League in the play mode.
History
On 4 October 2010 the NASL announced the expansion will enter a team of San Antonio for the 2012 season in the league. The owning group of the new franchises is headed by businessman Gordon Hartman. At a press conference on 10 January 2011, the team name and logo was announced.

In the first season the team played their home games at Heroes Stadium. The usually used as a football stadium court is under the North East Independent School District and is home to several other high school teams from this district. However, a soccer -specific stadium being built for the franchise, the Toyota Field. It should be finished in 2013 and can accommodate 8,000 spectators. It will be expandable to 18,500 spectators.
