Otto Haab

Otto Haab ( born April 19, 1850 in Wülflingen, Canton Zurich, † 17 October 1931 in Zurich ) was a Swiss ophthalmologist.

Haab received his doctorate after studying medicine in Zurich in 1875. Since 1874 he was an assistant at Carl Joseph Eberth in pathological anatomy. In 1877 he became an assistant to Johann Friedrich Horner. In 1879 he habilitated for ophthalmology in Zurich.

In 1886 he was the successor of Horner at the University of Zurich.
