Oulunkaari

Oulunkaari is one of seven administrative Communities ( seutukunta ) in the Finnish countryside Nordoesterbotten. Oulunkaari literally means, Oulu - bow '; accordingly form the five municipalities of the administrative community an arc north and east of Greater Oulu. To the west of the administrative community lies the Gulf of Bothnia, to the north is bordered Oulunkaari to Lapland, to the east by the region Koillismaa and on the south by the landscape Kainuu.

To manage Community Oulunkaari include the following three cities and towns:

• Pudasjärvi
• Utajärvi

Ylikiiminki and Yli -Ii were up to their incorporation to Oulu in 2009 and 2013 as an autonomous communities to manage community Oulunkaari.
