Our Lady of Mount Carmel
Our Lady of Mount Carmel (also of Mount Carmel ) is a title of honor of the Virgin Mary as the patron saint of the Order of Carmelites. The first Carmelites lived as hermits on Mount Carmel in the Holy Land. Built by them chapel was dedicated to the Blessed Mother. Remembrance and Skapulierfest

Worship
In Palmi each year of Our Lady celebrated the memory of the miracle of Mount Carmel on November 16 of each year that occurred there between 31 October 1894 and 16 November 1894. During these seventeen days the eyes of the statue to Our Lady moves and her complexion have changed several times. On the evening of November 16 as the faithful led the statue in procession with them, a strong earthquake, in which most of the houses were destroyed, but of 15,000 inhabitants, only nine were killed occurred. The miracle was recognized by the Catholic Church, and in the procession of the year 1896, the statue of Our Lady was crowned at the request of the Holy See.
