Ouran High School Host Club

Ouran High School Host Club (Japanese桜蘭 高校 ホスト 部(クラブ), Oran Koko hosuto kurabu ) is a manga series of the Japanese graphic artist Bisco Hatori. The manga has also been implemented as an anime television series, radio plays and Ren'ai adventure.

Action

The 15 -year-old, boyish Haruhi Fujioka (藤岡 ハルヒ) gets a scholarship at Ouran Academy, an elite school that is usually only visited by rich kids. Although she does not like this school, they want to realize their dream, as her dead mother's lawyer to be, by studying in the Ouran High School.

As she searches for a quiet place to study one day, she finds in a music room the host club. This consists of six hosts, male students who entertain and employ the rich students at the school. Each host represents its own type and has a nickname like "The King", "The Cool ," "The Wild ", " the little devils ( Hitachiin twins )" or " Lolita - Shota type ". After a mishap Haruhi has to work as an apparent boy in the Host Club. She learns the individual hosts by and by know better.

The spirited half French Tamaki Suo (须 王 环) loves all the girls enjoying their admiration and is always honest. Kyoya Otori (凤 镜 夜), deputy chief of the host club is cool and loves to act, but is understood by all good. The twins Hikaru (常 陆 院 光) and Kaoru Hitachiin (常 陆 院 馨) are calculating, sometimes childish. Add to this Mitsukuni Haninozuka (埴 之 冢 光 邦), "Honey ", and Takashi Morinozuka, " Mori " called (铦 之 冢 崇), a serious and taciturn boy.

Characters

By Haruhi, the two learn more intensively to respect others and reach out to them. Also, Haruhi is the only one that can ever keep the two apart, even if they cover their head. According to Haruhi, Kaoru is the more reasonable of the two and more the quiet type. Hikaru is still a bit childish and loud Haruhi alone also pretty annoying. All host - members, except Haruhi, Tamaki to hold and protect him occasionally from those who want to ruin it, or just from themselves

Publications

Ouran High School Host Club appears in Japan since the September 2002 edition in individual chapters in the manga magazine LaLa. In August 2010 it was announced that the manga will end that appears in the September 24, 2010 November issue of LaLa with a 52 -page chapter. The Hakusensha publishing house brought these individual chapters at regular intervals in the form of anthologies out of which appeared between 5 August 2003 and 5 April 2011, a total 18.

In the U.S. the series in Viz Media manga magazine Shojo Beat, in Australia at Madman Entertainment and in France and Spain at Panini appears. In Germany the number of Carlsen Comics is published. Since January 2012, all volumes have been published, the translation is by Alexandra Klepper.

Anime

2006 produced the studio Bones, a 26- episode anime television series based on the manga. Directed by Takuya Igarashi, the character design designed Kumiko Takahashi and artistic director was Norifumi Nakamura. The series was (shortly after midnight and therefore on the previous TV day ) aired from 5 April to 27 September 2006 by the NTV in Japan, followed later by broadcasts by Chukyo TV and Yomiuri TV.

The anime has been licensed for the U.S. market from FUNimation Entertainment. The complete series was released in 2008 in Germany, Austria & Switzerland, to the Anime Anime Virtual Label in 3 DVD boxes with 2 DVDs. Then took place on 29 October 2010 a re-release of the series as a complete edition under the renamed label Kazé (formerly Anime Virtual).

Synchronization

The German dubbed version was produced by electric film.

Music

The music of the series was composed by Yoshihisa Hirano. The opening credits of the series, Sakura kiss, Chieko Kawabe sings the credits Shisso comes from the Japanese rock band LAST ALLIANCE.

Other adaptations

Radioplay

Since 2003, released in Japan three radio play CDs. In addition, two issues of the magazine LaLa, in which the manganese appears, radio plays were settled.

Ren'ai - Adventures

On April 19, 2007 she released only in Japan for the Playstation 2 console Ren'ai an adventure to Ouran Host Club, which was produced by Idea Factory and sold under their label Otomate girls games.

In spring 2009, also an apparent remake of the PS2 Adventures was released in Japan for the Nintendo DS under the same name with the suffix DS in the title, which also comes from Idea Factory.

Drama

Since July 2011 Ouran High School Host Club is broadcast based on the eponymous anime and the manga, also called dorama. Cast: Kawaguchi Haruna as Fujioka Haruhi Yamamoto Yusuke as Suou Tamaki, Ryusei Ryo as Nekozawa Umehito, Daito Shunsuke as Ootori Kyoya Nakamura Masaya as Morinozuka Takashi Chiba Yudai as Haninozuka Mitsukuni Takagi Shinpei as Hitachiin Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin as Takagi Manpei.

Success

The manga sold in Japan until May 2006 more than four million times.
