Action

Veronica Van Huet introduces the " Lady Margaret Oakes " school for girls with boarding facilities. She took over the facility in need of renovation as heir and fights against financial constraints. Veronica is married in second marriage with the unsuccessful American painter Matthew.

The 18- year-old schoolgirl Louise Thompson stays during the holidays at boarding school. They are having to learn on. However, this is only a outworked reason. In truth, they want to stay with Matthew, with whom she has an affair. When Veronica finds out that her husband ended the relationship with Louise.

Shortly after an argument with Veronica travels from Matthew allegedly just decided to Florence. This information, however, gives no credence to Louise. She thinks rather that Veronica has murdered her husband and feels threatened from then on her.
