Ove Molin

Ove Molin ( born May 27, 1971 in Huddinge ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player and current coach.

Career

Ove Molin began his career as a hockey player in his youth for AIK Ishockey for whose first team he 1988/89 his debut in the Elitserien was in the season, where he point and remained scoreless in three games. Then the attacker played two years for the Danderyd HC, in the then still second-class Division 1, before he was hired by the first division Brynäs IF in the summer of 1991, for which he continuously until the end of season 2009/10 with the exception of the 1996/97 season in which he was under contract with HIFK Helsinki in the Finnish SM- liiga, standing on the ice. With Brynäs the links shooter won each of the Swedish Championship in 1993 and 1999. In addition, he was with his team in the season 1994/95 runners-up. In March 2010, he declared his pro career ended. In January 2011, he decided to make a comeback in the Swedish fifth-tier Långshyttans AIK in Division 3, but completed only one game.

Since the season 2010/11 Molin has worked as an assistant coach in the junior section of its common association Brynäs IF.

Internationally

For Sweden Molin attended at junior level at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1989 and the U20 World Youth Championship in 1991. In the senior level, he was only in the 1999 World Cup squad in his country.
