Pablo Antonio Vega Mantilla
Pablo Antonio Vega Mantilla ( born August 17, 1919 in Nagarote, Department of León, Nicaragua, † 14 November 2007) was Bishop of Juigalpa in the department of Chontales in Nicaragua.
Life
Vega Mantilla received on May 26, 1945, the sacrament of Holy Orders. In 1970 he was called by Pope Paul VI. appointed prelates of Territorialprälatur Juigalpa. 1973 he was appointed Titular Bishop of Bononia. The Episcopal ordination on May 6, 1973 He received his Cardinal Lorenzo Antonetti and the co-consecrators Archbishop Luis Chávez y González, Román Arrieta Villalobos Archbishop.
He was 1993-1995 President of the Episcopal Conference of Nicaragua.
In 1993, Pope John Paul II held his resignation. His successor was the German Bernhard Hombach, current Archbishop of Granada in Nicaragua.
