Roman Catholic Diocese of Juigalpa

The diocese Juigalpa (Latin: Dioecesis Iuigalpensis ) is a located in Nicaragua Roman Catholic diocese based in Juigalpa. It comprises the departments Chontales and Río San Juan.

History

With the Apostolic constitution of Christ voluntas founded Pope John XXIII. the Territorialprälatur Juigalpa on July 21, 1962 from cessions of territory of the Diocese of Granada. On 30 April 1991, it was elevated to the Apostolic Constitution Dilectis sane to the diocese.
