Horombense Pachypodium is a plant of the genus Pachypodium in the family of the dogbane family ( Apocynaceae ).
Description
Pachypodium horombense is a perennial plant, with an erect, branching stem. The leaves are thick, firm and pale green in color, they are almost entirely dropped in the winter. The flower stems are erect and are up to 60 cm long.
The flowers are colored bright yellow, the corolla tube is composed of five petals, broad cup-shaped and measures 17 to 23 mm in diameter. The fruits are 14 cm long and measure 7 mm in diameter.
Occurrence
The species is widespread in the central part, and in the south of Madagascar.
