Paderborn Plateau

The Paderborn plateau is from their geological construction to the completion of the south-eastern bay Westphalian and the largest limestone and the largest karst landscapes in Westphalia. In the natural spatial structure of the manual nature of the spatial structure of Germany it is assigned to the Upper Weser Uplands in Lower Saxony Bergland.

In the west the Almetal forms the border with the Hellweg Börden with the hair strand in the south, connect to the itself to the north lip lowlands, senna and the Teutoburg Forest. The eastern edge limits the Eggegebirge. The southern end limit the Sauerland and the Waldecker tableland.

The Paderborn Plateau is divided into four sub- landscapes: The Sintfeld in the south, the mountain Brenkener plate to the west, the buck field in the north and the light Auersberg level ( Soratfeld ) in the east.
