Päite is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Toila ( Toila vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in northeastern Estonia.

Description and History

The village has (March 1, 2012 Status ) 24 inhabitants.

It was first mentioned in documents in 1583, but was probably written before the Livonian War. The Good Päite is first documented in the year 1586.

Conservation area Päite

A part of the territory is designated as a conservation area ( Päite maastikukaitseala ).

Popular with nature lovers is the 41 meter high Klint of Päite ( Päite pank ). From there, visitors are treated to a magnificent panorama of the Gulf of Finland.
