Pak Noja

Vladimir Tikhonov alias Pak Noja ( born February 5, 1973 in Leningrad ) was born in the former USSR and is naturalized Korean journalist and historian. He received his doctorate in 1992 at the Lomonosov University in Moscow on the Confederation of Gaya. He is a professor of East Asian and Korean studies at the University of Oslo, and Lecturer at Kyunghee University in Seoul, where his research interests are the modern history of Korea and the idea, the latter focusing on the younger Buddhism. He is married to the South Korean violinist Baek Myong -jong.
