Pali (Hindi: पाली, Pali ) is a city in the state of Rajasthan in western India and administrative headquarters of the district of Pali. It has 230,000 inhabitants ( 2011 census ) and is located in the region of Marwar.

The Pratihara, a dynasty of Rajputs, also known as Gurjara Pratiharas, founded the kingdom in Marwar in the 6th century, where Pali was. In the early 13th century, the Rathor clan fled to the west of the kingdom of Kannauj in northern India.
