Pallonji Mistry

Pallonji Mistry ( born 1929 ) is an Indian- Irish entrepreneur.

Life

Mistry comes from a Parsi family and followers of Zoroastrianism. He runs the construction company Shapoorji Pallonji Group, headquartered in Ireland, which he took over from his father. At Tata Sons, he holds a significant minority stake. Important buildings in Mumbai were built by the construction company Shapoorji Pallonji Group, for example, the building of the Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank, Grindlays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, State Bank of India and the Reserve Bank of India. According to the American Forbes Magazine Mistry is among the richest Indians and has been listed in The World's Billionaires.

In 2003 he gave up his Indian citizenship to accept Irish citizenship. Mistry is married to the Irish Pat Perin Dubash and has four children.
