Pan.Thy.Monium was a Swedish death metal band around Dan Swanö. The group was founded in 1990 as a side project and published until its dissolution in 1996 three albums.
Band History
Dan Swanö Pan.Thy.Monium founded in 1990 as a project next to Edge of Sanity along with his brother Dag. In addition, also the edge-of - sanity musician Robert Karlsson were (vocals) and Benny Larsson (drums, violin ) and Robert Ivarrson (guitar ) in the group active.
After the demo ... Dawn and EP Dream II the group was able to obtain a recording contract with Osmose Productions and published there in 1992 their debut album Dawn of Dreams. The seven songs remained untitled. Appeared in 1993 Khaooohs with guest singer Aasah. 1996 was the last album Khaooohs & Kon -Fus -Ion via Relapse Records. Then broke Swanö to the group. Although the remaining musicians attempted the project without Swanö alive, did not make it though.
Music
Musically Pan.Thy.Monium within the sphere of death and black metal. Her compositions are very complex and avant-garde with many breaks, as is common in the area of Progressive Metal. Pan.Thy.Monium brought one of the first groups in this area saxophone sounds and electronic sound effects. Another feature is the how the death metal- range common growls from existing songs.
