Pana Tinani

Pana Tinani (formerly Joan Nett Iceland ) is an island in Louisiade Archipelago in the Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea. The island is 3.1 km north of the north-western headland of Vanatinai and is separated from it by the Bulami passage. Furthermore, it is just east of Hemenahei, the easternmost of the Calvados Islands, and is separated from it by the at the narrowest point only 890 meters wide Magamaga passage. It has an area of ​​78 km ², making it the second largest island after Vanatinai in Vanatinai Lagoon, as well as the sixth largest of the entire Louisiade archipelago. It is hilly and reaches a height of Mount Guyuba 338 meters.

At the 2000 census the island had 225 inhabitants, all in the village Bwailahina (formerly Hebwaun ) in the southeast of the island.
