Panevėžys District Municipality
The Rajongemeinde Panevėžys, Lithuanian Panevėžio rajono savivaldybė, is one of the 60 Lithuanian self-governing communities. It is located in the district of Panevezys and surrounds the municipality of Panevėžys. The city is also the seat of Panevėžys Rajongemeinde and two of its districts, one of which even bears the name Panevėžys. The Rajongemeinde has 43 193 inhabitants and an area of 2179 km ².
