Pangasius ( Pangasianodon hypophthalmus )

The genus Pangasianodon from the family of shark catfish includes two types: P. hypophthalmus ( " Catfish " ) and P. gigas ( " Mekong giant catfish "). Both are found only in the Mekong and its tributaries and are fished, so wild stocks are under threat.
