Pantordanus

Pantordanos (Greek Παντόρδανος ), son of Cleander, was a Macedonian cavalry general and companion ( Hetairos ) Alexander the Great in the 4th century BC.

Pantordanos led during the Asia campaign at the Battle of Issus in 333 BC as the so-called ilarchos leugaische squadron of Hetairenreiterei, which was probably recruited from the surrounding areas of Pydna. Together with Peroidas he is the only Schwadronenführer, which is mentioned by name at Issus. Her two squadrons were redeployed from the left to the right wing just before the start of the battle.

Both Pantordanos and Periodas are no longer mentioned after Issus. Because of Gaugamela in 331 BC, all eight squadrons of the Hetairenreiterei were occupied with other officers, it is assumed that both have fallen at Issus.
