The jewelry spiny lobster ( Panulirus ornatus ) is a species of the family of crawfish.

The maximum body length of these Langustenart is 50 centimeters. Makes it one of the largest members of the genus Panulirus. Most members of this type are rarely greater than 30 to 35 centimeters. She is like all the lobsters nocturnal and hides during the day like in columns. It lives on echinoderms, carrion, worms and mussels. She lives in a sea depth of one to eight meters in coastal water. Occasionally, however, they can also be found in water depths of 50 meters.

The jewelry crayfish is native to the Western Pacific and comes from East Africa to Japan, Solomon Islands, Australia and Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia and Fiji before. However, the jewelry lobster is also one of the species that is also penetrated into the Mediterranean Sea due to the Lessepsschen migration through the Suez Canal. It is therefore also be found on the coast of Israel today.

The Langustenart is caught throughout the range and marketed to the local fish markets.
