Paolo Pietrangeli

Paolo Pietrangeli ( born April 29, 1945 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and songwriter.

Life

Pietrangeli, son of filmmaker Antonio, worked from 1966 with the " Istituto E. De Martino " and the PCI together; inter alia, created a series of political and successful songs (the best known probably Valle Giulia and especially Contessa ). In television, he was responsible for numerous cultural contributions, was director of Maurizio Costanzo Show from 1982 and later, in 1985, for his sitcom Orazio, but also worked as a theater director. So he laid in 1997 with Daniele Luttazzi before the piece tabloid. As a performer, he was again, the fictional character " Bobo " on the show Drive 1984.

For the cinema Pietrangeli was (next to small roles in two films of his father ) as assistant director from 1968 worked. From 1972, he worked as a documentary filmmaker, including with the political Bianco e nero. 1977 was followed by the feature film debut Porci con le ali, whose screenplay he wrote based on the bestseller by Lidia Rivera and Marco Lombardo Radice. After a debut album in 1969 and four plates 1973-1979 published from 1989 onwards in different time intervals further ten publications of his Lieder.

Pietrangeli participated since 1996 several times as a candidate for various political functions. He belongs to the Sinistra Ecologia Libertà since 2009.
