Papineau Regional County Municipality
Papineau is a regional county municipality (French municipalité régional du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Quebec.
It is located in the Outaouais administrative region, and consists of 24 subordinate administrative units (one city, 21 municipalities and two cantonal municipalities). The MRC was established on 1 January 1983. The main town is Papineauville. Its population is 21 824 and the surface 2926.9 km ², which corresponds to a population density of 7.5 inhabitants per km ². Named the MRC is by Louis -Joseph Papineau.
