Parachute is a song by British singer Cheryl Cole. The song was written by Ingrid Michaelson and Marshall Altman for Cole's debut album 3 Words ( 2009). The song was released on 11 March 2010 as the third and final single from the album. Parachute was Cole's third top 5 hit in succession in the British charts and Ireland. 2011, the song at the BRIT Awards in the category was nominated for " Best British Single".

Composition

Parachute is an uptempo song, written by Ingrid Michaelson and Marshall Altman. The song combines R & B rhythms with pop and synth pop melodies. The song uses drums for the rhythm, strings and pop hooks with cheesy song, which was compared with Britney Spears 3. Cole took advantage of Auto-Tune for her singing. Originally thought Cole after to publish Parachute as the first single, but decided later to Fight for This Love.

The lyrics has been criticized by some critics for its " depressive " content.
