Park Tower (Frankfurt)

The Park Tower (formerly known as SGZ Tower ) is a skyscraper in the Westend of Frankfurt am Main. It was built in 1972 as the administrative headquarters of the South-West German co-operative Central Bank ( 2000 and 2001 merged in two stages to today's DZ Bank ). The then 96 -meter-high building with a black and silver facade was the tallest skyscraper in Frankfurt for a short time. It is located at Reuterweg near the Opera Square and adjacent north and east to the Rothschild Park.

The building was completely gutted and completely rebuilt between July 2005 and autumn 2007. Since then, provides the 115 meter high building around 24,000 square meters of gross floor area.

The slightly oblique to the Alte Oper standing building was increased according to plans of the architectural firm Albert Speer & Partner to three floors and complemented with a second building, which like a stone buckle wraps around the shaft of the tower. The new building is clad in pale stone, the old building completely glazed. The main tenant of the building is the international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which has almost the whole building rented.

Owner of the property is a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank.
