On background vocals among other Syreeta, Philip Bailey and Luther Vandross were involved. Vandross ' Part one hears the refrain. In 1986, the song for the Grammy Awards in the category Best Male Vocal Performance - Pop nominated, but lost to the Phil Collins album No Jacket Required.
In an interview Wonder revealed that it is the song is a tribute to the classic Supremes My World Is Empty Without You, and You Can not Hurry Love.
