Pascal Oswald

Yves Pascal Oswald ( born February 11, 1980 in Müstair ) is a Swiss skeleton bob.

Pascal Oswald studied at the Universities of Zurich and St. Gallen Law. Since 2002 he has been in the sport of skeleton for the club BSC Gyrenbad active and belongs since 2003 to the national squad in Switzerland. Oswald is trained by Snorre Pedersen and Cedric Tamani. Oswald belonged to the time in which he began with Skeleton, the squad of the Swiss U23 national team in track, his club here is the Knives track team, and was especially successful as a high jumper and decathlete. He made his first attempts with the skeleton sled at the Olympic bob run from Igls. In the same year he made his debut in December 2002 in a race of the Skeleton European Cup in Winterberg ( 25 ) at the international level. At the Junior World Championship 2003 in Koenigssee, he finished 16th place. In 2003, he shifted his focus from athletics sporting new to the sport of skeleton.

In January 2004, Oswald debuted in Lillehammer in skeleton World Cup ( 31 ). In Swiss Championships he won since his debut in the highest category in January 2004, a total of eight medals, including three gold medals (title hat-trick 2010/2011/2012 ). In the race of the Universiade 2005 in Igls, he finished fifth. His best ranking in Skeleton Championships is eighth, where he achieved this in both 2009 and 2011 in St. Moritz in Winterberg. He took part only so far in a World Cup, 2011 in Koenigssee ( 20 ). His best ever World Cup result it reached in January 2010 as sixth in St. Moritz. In February 2010 he started at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver ( 16 ).

At the Athletics Indoor Championships in February 2008 in the Swiss Athletics Centre St. Gallen Pascal Oswald was Swiss champion in the high jump with a height of 2.14 m.
