Pascoal Ranieri Mazzilli

Pascoal Ranieri Mazzilli (* April 27, 1910 in Caconde SP, † 21 April 1975 in São Paulo SP) was President of Brazil.

He was first elected in 1950 as a member of the PSD in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies from 1959 to 1965, he was its president.

In August 1960, during the Portugal trip of President Juscelino Kubitschek, he served first as head of state, as Vice President Joao Goulart was prevented by the campaign.

After the resignation of Jânio Quadros Mazzilli again took over the official duties of the President of João Goulart during his state visit to China, as well as in April 1962 and July 1963 during further foreign travel of Goulart.

After the military coup in 1964 and the overthrow of Goulart he finally took over the task of the Heads of State and Government of the Republic of Brazil one last time.
