Pat Garrity

Patrick Joseph " Pat" Garrity ( born August 23, 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada ) is a former American professional basketball player who played between 1998 and 2008 in the NBA.

Career

After Garrity had played four years for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, he was selected in the 1998 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks in 19th place. That same evening he was traded along with the gedrafteten ninth Dirk Nowitzki for the drawn sixth Robert Traylor to the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks gave Garrity ( was pulled at the 1999 Shawn Marion ) shortly afterwards, together with Bubba Wells, Martin Müürsepp and a future draft pick from in exchange for Steve Nash to the Phoenix Suns.

Garrity played only one season with the Suns, before he was traded along with Danny Manning and draft picks to the Orlando Magic for Anfernee Hardaway. He played a total of nine years for the Magic before he announced his resignation on 11 September 2008. In his ten year career Garrity scored 7.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
