Path of the Assassin

Hanzō no Mon ( Jap.半蔵 の 門) is a manga, which was written by Kazuo Koike as a writer and Goseki Kojima as a draftsman. It tells the story of Hattori Hanzō, whose job was to serve and protect Tokugawa Ieyasu. The work can be classified into the category of his own.

Action

Mid-16th century receives the masterful Ninja Hattori Hanzō the job to protect the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. This is Japan in a nation one, but he must be prepared for this task. This includes experience in politics as in love.

Creation and publication

Unlike their other joint works of manga on historical characters, Hattori Hanzō and Tokugawa Ieyasu based. The manga was released in Japan 1972-1984 at Kodansha. The series consists of 15 individual volumes.

Since 2006, an English translation called Path of the Assassin appears at Dark Horse Comics. In May 2008, the 12th volume was published. The manga is recommended in the U.S. over 18 years.
