Patricia Ferguson

Patricia Ferguson (* September 24, 1958 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish politician and member of the Labour Party.

Ferguson attended the Garnethill Convent Secondary School in Glasgow and the Glasgow College of Technology, she left with a degree in Public Administration beings. She is married to her party colleague and former Member of Parliament Bill Butler, the constituency of Glasgow Anniesland took twelve years in Parliament.

Scottish Parliament

In the Scottish Parliament elections in 1999 Ferguson was a candidate for the constituency of Glasgow Maryhill and won the mandate with a clear lead over the SNP candidate Bill Wilson. As a result, they moved into the newly created Scottish Parliament. In November 2001, Ferguson was appointed State Secretary for Parliamentary Business and has held this post until October 2004. 's Parliamentary elections in 2003 Ferguson defended her constituency. From October 2004 Ferguson was up to the end of the legislature Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. Once again defended Ferguson in the 2007 parliamentary elections its mandate. As part of the 2011 reform constituency of Glasgow Maryhill constituency was dissolved.
