Patricia Hardy

Patricia Hardy ( born December 23, 1931 in New York City, New York, † August 20 2011 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actress.

Life

Hardy was Irish-American origin. She was born in Brooklyn, New York. In her youth, Hardy took part in several beauty contests. They were chosen as "Miss Brooklyn ," "Miss Coney Iceland " and " Miss New York Press Photographer". She worked as a model and was once on the cover of Look magazine.

She began her artistic career in show business with performances in the New York nightclub Copacabana, where she performed, among others, alongside comedians such as Danny Thomas and Jimmy Durante. In the early 1950s Hardy went to Hollywood to pursue a career as an actress with the target.

Her film debut was in 1953 in the crime film women at night. A major role was in 1956 in the Rock ' n ' Roll movie Except of hand Part 2, the sequel of the successful musical film Over the top; she played in Francine MacLaine, the pretty daughter of a gossip columnist.

She played in the 1950 episode roles and guest roles in numerous American television series. In the episode The Unlighted Road from the CBS television series Schlitz Playhouse she played in 1953 on the side of James Dean. TV appearances she had until the end of the 1950s, including in the television series The Count of Monte Cristo (1956 ), Letter to Loretta (1956 ), Lassie (1956 ), West Point (1957 ), Mike Hammer (1958), State Trooper (1958 ), and Perry Mason ( 1958, 1959).

In 1956 she met the American film actor Richard Egan, with whom she appeared in public together since December 1956. The marriage took place in June 1958. The marriage produced five children, four daughters and one son.

Hardy, widowed since 1987, died at the age of 80 at her home in Los Angeles, in the Brentwood neighborhood. The cause of death was officially given cancer.
