Patrick Beckert

Patrick Beckert ( born April 17, 1990 in Erfurt ) is a German speed skater. He is the brother of Stephanie Beckert.

Career

Medals Beckert could win at the national and international levels and at youth level. In the junior level Beckert launched in the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 World Championships. He was able to prove in 2007 in Innsbruck and 2009 in Zakopane each in the men's team fight with his team to 2nd place. He is a multiple German Junior Champion, and 4-times German champion in the men ( three titles in 2013 ).

Until now, he could occupy the third place in the World Cup six times, four times in the team and in the 2013/14 season once each over 5 km and 10 km. In the overall World Cup, he finished second in his first year with the adults in the season 2009/2010 23 rank on the 5/10km. Beckert's most important appearance was at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. There he took over the 5 km by 6:21,18 min the 8th Place and on the 10 km 6th in 13:14,26 min. Thus he was the best German on both routes.
