Patrick Jenkin, Baron Jenkin of Roding

Charles Patrick Fleeming Jenkin, Baron Jenkin of Roding, PC ( born September 7, 1926) is a British politician of the Conservative Party.

Biography

After attending the Dragon School in Oxford and at Clifton College, he studied at Jesus College, University of Cambridge.

His political career began initially in local politics as a member of the City Council of Hornsey ( Hornsey Borough Council ). In 1964 he was first elected as a candidate of the Conservative Party in the lower house (House of Commons ) and represented there initially until 1974 the constituency of Woodford and then 1974-1987 the constituency of Wanstead and Woodford.
