Patrick Ollier

Patrick Ollier ( born December 17, 1944 in Périgueux, Dordogne ) is a French politician of the Union pour un mouvement populaire (UMP ), former President of the National Assembly and former Assistant Minister in the government of François Fillon third.

Life

After schooling Ollier studied economics and sociology at the Institut d' études politiques in Aix -en- Provence and engaged during his studies as a founder of the Gaullist political student movements Action Étudiante Gaulliste and Union des Jeunes pour le Progres ( UJP ).

After graduating, he began his professional career as an economist in the civil service and in 1969 was initially Worked in the office of Jacques Baumel, the then Secretary of State for communication. Subsequently, he was 1969-1973 Advisor to the Prime Minister Jacques Chaban -Delmas, and Pierre Messmer.
